The nursing shortage is going to have a major impact on us nursing students. I believe this because when we are in clincal, our nurses that we will be following will be super busy with many patients, and therefore unable to put all their attention on us students because they are running around trying to assess and take care of their patients. I think that when we are learing as nurses, we will be rushed because there isnt much time to spend explaining things properly because our nurses have to assist other patients. I hope that with the help of the governemnt and other nursing students that we can change the nursing shortage to benefit ourselves as nurses as well as patients.

I definitely agree with your point. I worry that the nurses who are supposed to be teaching us will be too busy. However, hopefully most of our learning will come from observation. It will be interesting to see nursing in action next semester!
